PISA - Programme for International Student Assessment

Conducted on a three-year cycle since 2000, PISA assists governments around the world to measure and compare how well prepared students nearing the end of compulsory schooling are to use their knowledge and skills to meet real-life challenges.

TIMSS - Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study

A large-scale assessment designed to inform educational policy and practice by providing an international perspective on Year 4 and 8 students' intended and actual knowledge in mathematics and science.

PIRLS - Progress in International Reading Literacy Study

Every five years, PIRLS assesses the reading achievement of students in their fourth year of schooling—when they transition from 'learning to read' to 'reading to learn'.

TALIS - Teaching and Learning International Survey

Collecting internationally comparable data on the learning environment and the working conditions of teachers and principals in schools across the world
